I always had a nagging little feeling that “pretty” wasn’t going to necessarily be “beautiful.” “Beautiful” is kind of untouchable. It’s a little distant. It’s in the realm of fantasy, and it’s pretty unattainable. “Pretty” feels a little more real. It’s a loveliness that’s within your grasp, and it isn’t any less gorgeous.
